Why us

Why bring it to us?

We stretch and frame canvases every week, using the same materials and methods as our own gallery prints.

  1. 01

    Solid pine, properly stretched

We stretch on solid pine bars, the same we use for our own gallery-wrapped prints. Tight, square, ready to hang.

  2. 02

Stretching, framing, all under one roof

Choose Standard 1" or Deep 1.5" depth, with the option to mount inside a wooden float frame in seven colours. Wire and hooks always included.

  3. 03

    Premium varnish on request

If you brought a canvas without UV protection, we can apply a coating of premium Hahnemühle varnish to improve longevity. Mention it when you drop off.

FAQ

Common questions.

If yours isn't here, WhatsApp us, easier with a photo of the canvas if you have one.

  • Whose canvases do you stretch?

Mostly two kinds: original artworks (paintings on raw canvas), and printed canvases bought rolled, ready to stretch. We also re-stretch damaged or sagging pieces. Drop in or message us if you're unsure whether yours is suitable.

  • How big a canvas do I need to bring?

For a finished size of W × H, you need a canvas of at least (W + 7.6cm) × (H + 7.6cm) for Standard 1" stretching, or (W + 10cm) × (H + 10cm) for Deep 1.5". The calculator shows you the exact size as you enter the finished dimensions. The extra is the wrap allowance that goes around the back of the bars.

  • What's the difference between Standard 1" and Deep 1.5"?

Standard 1" gives a classic, traditional canvas profile that sits close to the wall. Deep 1.5" has a more substantial side profile and reads more contemporary. Both use solid pine bars; the choice is aesthetic. Deep 1.5" costs slightly more because the bars use more material.

  • What is float framing?

A float frame is a solid, treated-wood surround that the stretched canvas sits inside, with a small visible gap between the canvas edge and the frame, so the canvas appears to "float". Adds a finished gallery look without obscuring the work. We offer seven colours from smooth white through to natural black oak.

  • How long does it take?

Standard turnaround is 5 to 7 working days. Float-framed jobs can take a day or two longer because of the additional fitting step. Drop off in person or arrange a courier, we'll quote and confirm before any work starts.

  • What's the maximum size you can stretch?

We can stretch up to roughly 152 × 200 cm in-house. For anything larger, message us and we'll see what's possible.

Exceptional service from start to finish. We worked remotely on a project in Singapore from London printing and framing 400+ works and the team were exceptional. I could not recommend them highly enough. Thank you 🙏

Absolutely blown away by the experience at Art Printing Works. We did some fine art printing for DhakaYeah while visiting Singapore, and the entire process was incredible from start to finish. The lovely lady who assisted us patiently walked us through the different printing and paper options, explained the process in detail, and genuinely tried to understand what would work best for our artwork and brand instead of simply pushing the most expensive option available. That honesty and care really stood out, they really care about their customers. The print quality was exceptional, the turnaround was surprisingly quick and efficient, and you can truly feel the level of craftsmanship and attention that goes into their work. Couldn’t recommend them more to other illustrators be it professional or anyone looking for high quality art printing in Singapore.

Am so glad to have found Fine Art Printing. Recently, I have brought my art print to have it printed and framed. I have in mind of how I wanted it, have it printed in canvas and get it framed. However, after some discussion , Alice , has suggested on how best with such a print to be presented and she has suggested a pop art with canvas and it turns out amazing. Alice is a very professional in her line of work and Fine Art Printing just knew their clients’ requirement. I highly recommend to anyone who wish to do printing and framing. I will definitely come back for my future requirement. Thank you Alice and thank you Fine Art Requirement. Rgds Shariman

I was so impressed by their meticulous attention to detail to make sure the blown-up image looked phenomenal. They were incredibly patient and helpful, answering all my questions about resolution and edges, and even sending different variations via phone. The quality of the final canvas print is outstanding, and the timely delivery with great packaging made the whole process incredibly easy and exciting!

Reasonably priced printer with amazing paper! Printed mine on Hahnemühle artist canvas with the intention to repurpose an old canvas frame I got lying around. Was quite nervous how my print would turn out but when I collected it and saw the quality, I was blown away by how accurate the colors representation were and the texture of the paper. I think I found my go to printer already for future projects. Big thanks to the team for making my little project come alive. Really appreciate it!
