Firstly, if you just want to add rough measurements for now thats perfectly OK. We'll help to re-measure the work and adjust pricing accordingly if needed.

This refers to the depth of the stretcher wood used. In most cases 1" is more than sufficient, but here is some general scenarios where 1.5" may be needed:
If your canvas is particularly large then 1.5" may be preferable for added structural support from the thicker wood.
If the original painting was stretched on profile deeper than 1" previously. In this case you may want to stick with that when re-stretching.
If you just aesthetically prefer to have the structure deeper, then 1.5" is obviously going to give you more depth to the artwork than 1".
Please note that in most cases our float frames are optimised for usage with a 1" stretcher bar and are not advised for usage with 1.5".
After stretching a canvas it would already be in a condition for you to hang it up on the wall. Many customers however like to add a float frame.
A float frame is an additional wooden structure that outlines the stretched canvas giving the effect that the canvas is floating within the frame.
Its an inexpensive addition and can really make a significant difference to the quality of the end product.
We offer float frames in black, white, silver, natural wood, and dark wood. We recommend sticking with a 1" stretcher when adding a float frame.
