What file types can you print from?

We are generally happy to work from most file types but the best options are TIFF, JPG, and PNG. Its preferable if you can convert your file into one of these prior to providing to us for printing, but don’t worry if you are not sure how to do so, you may send it across to us and we’ll take a look.

I am not sure my image is good enough, what should I do?

If you are unsure about the image you’d like to print then please send to us either using our contact form or by email to hello@fineartprinting.com.sg and we will take a look for you. We regularly receive images which ordinarily may not be appropriate for printing directly, but we can often apply some enlargement and enhancement techniques to reach a state which you are happy with.

How should I prepare my print file?

We recognise that not everybody is an expert in image file preparation for printing and as such please don’t be put off from getting in touch for printing if you are unsure about the below guidelines. We are always comfortable to support as needed, but ideally your print file for JPG or TIFF would be uploaded to us in the following format:

– Saved as a JPEG or flattened TIF file
– 300 pixels per inch
– Saved in 8bit
– RGB colour space, or converted to the profile of the paper you are printing on [such as Hahnemuhle Photo Rag 308]

Please also specify if you wish to have additional border space around your print. The default is 3mm but we can adjust to meet your requirements.

Please get in touch if you require any additional guidance.

Do you offer image editing and enlargement?

Yes we do, we have a whole range of service offerings in this area. Please get in touch with us to discuss your requirements and get a quote.

Can I combine multiple images into a single print?

Yes, if for example you have many smaller images of a consistent size that can be combined into a single image file we are happy to print for you. This would save you some money based on how our pricing model typically works.

Please note that in such instances we would require you to consolidate your images into a single image or multiple sheets and implement any necessary crop marks. If you require us to help you cut the images out from the sheet this is chargeable. Please contact us first to discuss.
